Green Business and Green Jobs

The Sonnenschein Green Initiative will be hosting the seventh Green Evening Cafe on Tuesday, July 28th in downtown Hohenwald at the Emporium Café from 6-8:30 pm. The theme for this month is Green Business and Jobs. Our keynote speaker will be a representative from the Tennessee Technology Center of Hohenwald, TN. The Technology Center is in the process of accepting applications for a new, innovative Green Jobs Technical Training Program. This program will offer one year of education and training in a diverse range of “green” education studies and will educate students in current initiatives in green technology and power. Enrollment is scheduled to begin September 1, 2009. Contact TTC Hohenwald at 931-796-5351 for more information and an application.

July’s Green Evening, sponsored by Access Consulting will also have several green business owners to discuss development of green enterprises and economic development strategies. The public is invited to this free event. Bring your appetite as the Emporium Cafe will be open for dinner. Attendees will be able to purchase full meals, desserts, tea and coffee.
